Press trips and product reviews

Press trips

My blog is dedicated to travelling and living in Portugal and is aimed at independent-thinking travellers who are interested in more than just a fly and flop holiday. I am passionate about promoting the less-well-known aspects of Portugal and tend to focus on cultural events and off-the-beaten-track destinations as well as Portuguese food and culture.

I am open to press trips within Portugal, either as a solo traveller or with my husband. I’m based in central Portugal but am interested in exploring any region of the country that you are trying to promote. I’m interested in anything from city trips, spa breaks and river cruises to exploring the countryside on active holidays.

In addition to writing a number of blog posts for publication on Julie Dawn Fox in Portugal, I am also able to pitch articles to other publications to reach a wider audience. During a press trip, assuming there is WiFi access, I can promote the destination and activities by sending updates and photos via social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.

Please contact me to discuss how we can work together.

Reviews and partnerships
  • tour companies – I am interested in reviewing tours and potentially forming partnerships with tour companies based in Portugalhotels, especially unique, historical or boutique – I am willing to write honest reviews and /or include recommended hotels in sponsored posts featuring specific destinations
  • restaurants – again, I am happy to review restaurants, bars and other establishments
  • events – I enjoy cultural events and am happy to consider invitations to review them

Product reviews

I’m always on the lookout for affiliate products or services that I can recommend to visitors and expats based in Portugal so please contact me if you offer something relevant, especially if it could be offered as a prize.

If you have something suitable that you’d like me to recommend, I’ll need a sample of the product to review and one to give away in a draw to readers who comment on the post (if it’s a high value product or service, one may be enough).
