After your walk, visit the winery to learn about the wine making process used on this wine estate.
Then settle yourselves amid the grape vines for a delicious picnic lunch prepared using fresh, local produce and accompanied by fine Douro wines.
Suggested itinerary:
Your guide will pick up from your Douro hotel/Pinhão train station at 8:30 or 9 am and drive you to Valença do Douro.
Make sure you have your camera with you to capture the views on this easy 2-hour circular walk through the vineyard amphitheatre.
Visit the winery and learn the story of their port wines.
Find your perfect picnic spot in the vineyard where you and your travel companion(s) can savour local delicacies at a leisurely pace in unrivalled surroundings.
Optional: At around 3 pm, your guide will take you back to the collection point or to Pinhão for the boat trip.
Spend the next hour feeling fully satisfied with all the good food, wonderful wine, gorgeous scenery.
When you disembark at about 4:30 pm, your guide will take you back to your hotel or the train station.
