FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are driving directions included? No, because your start and end points will be dependent upon where you choose to rent the car from, as well as your accommodation. You also have options of places to visit on some days so there are too many variables. I have provided an overview map of the key locations within the itinerary to help you understand the route. The day by day information contains names, address and links to specific sites and suggestions for parking areas so you can build your own daily driving route in Google Maps or other navigation tool.
Can I get a hard copy of the itinerary? You will receive a link to an online version of the itinerary, which will automatically be updated with any subsequent changes I may make in light of new information. You also have the option to download this Lisbon to Porto itinerary into an app on your mobile device. The digital options not only reduce the environmental impact of printing but also enable you to make full use of the links contained within the itinerary. However, if you wish to download it as a PDF and print it out, this is also possible.
Does this itinerary include things to do in Lisbon and Porto? The itinerary starts when you pick up your rental car from Lisbon on Day 1 so no Lisbon activities are included. It ends when you reach Porto in the afternoon of Day 6. I have made a couple of suggestions for things to do that afternoon/evening but you probably won’t have time to do much on that day so I haven’t gone into any detail.
