Hiker's feet in walkign shoes on a marked trail. Walking in Portugal

Over the last few years, my love of walking in Portugal has grown from being more than content with short, not too strenuous hikes to fully embracing the joys and challenges of multi-day hikes.

I’ve written many articles that are designed to help you have a wonderful experience of hiking in Portugal, and avoid some of the dangers and annoyances that could arise.

I also work with a few carefully selected Portuguese tour operators who specialise in providing self-guided walking holidays as well as guided hikes. You’ll find descriptions of these hiking experiences as well as opportunities to connect with the respective tour operators if you fancy doing one or more of them.
