Apartments offer more space than most hotel rooms, plus kitchen facilities and living areas that make longer stays more comfortable. They’re particularly useful for families, small groups or anyone who prefers the flexibility of preparing simple meals.
During my 18+ years of visiting Lisbon, I’ve stayed in several centrally located apartments and selected the options below based on location, comfort and professional management. All are in safe neighbourhoods within easy reach of key sights and transport links.
Serviced Apartments vs Holiday Rentals in Lisbon
In Lisbon you’ll find both independently managed holiday rentals and professionally operated serviced apartments. I tend to recommend properties with multiple units and professional management, as they offer more reliable service and clearer communication if any issues arise.
Serviced apartments in Lisbon combine the privacy of a self-catering stay with added conveniences such as lifts, reception desks or concierge services, making them a practical alternative to traditional hotels.
If you are travelling with more than 4 people, or need extra bedrooms, just be warned that 2 and 3-bedroomed are harder to find than studios or 1-bed apartments.
