If you are travelling with more than 4 people, or need extra bedrooms, just be warned that 2 and 3-bedroomed are harder to find than studios or 1-bed apartments.

Apartments in Baixa, Lisbon

Baixa is Lisbon’s flat, central downtown area, which makes it the easiest place to stay if you want to walk to most sights or use public transport. It’s busy during the day and can feel a bit commercial, but it’s very convenient as a base.

Note that this part of the city is the oldest and is a maze of cobbled streets, some of which have steps and are therefore not driveable. Public transport is a bit limited, compared to the rest of the city centre.
